My bella is an indoor cat, i have brought her a cat grass box, but she does not touch it, prefering to destroy/eat my beautiful plants and flowers i have in the house. tried sparing her with water, saying no every time she bits them and spraying a cat ‘no chew’ spray, nothing works!! i cant by my favourite (lilys) cos they are poisonus to cats as are other plants but it would be nice to have some other real flowers around the place!! please help!

How to avoid exudation or latex formation while innoculating plants in media?

Question by sheikh: How to avoid exudation or latex formation while innoculating plants in media?
I am working on Invitro flowering of Jatropha. Since this plant secretes latex, it hinders the growth of the plant in the media. Can someone help me how to reduce or avoid latex? What kind of pre-treatment can i go for, before innoculating the nodes of jatropha?

There is no chemical or other method to avoid production of latex reported.
To stop exudation, the wound is treated with heath, either hot water or a short contact with the flame of a lighter p.e. To press a piece of kitchen paper on the lesion should stop it too.
Hope, it helps!
