I would pay that much if they looked good. Try advertising on craigslist. I know a lot of people who look on their for wedding services. You could also set up a free web page with all the information to see how things go, and if they go good than you can purchase the domain name. Try sites like weebly.com, webs.com and synthasite.com. There are other sites but these are my top 3 fav. Also you could get some free business cards made from vistaprint.com. All you have to do is pay for shipping. Best of luck with your business.

I get the “don’t be a chump & spend money on/do this & that 4 women too early on” game. Plenty of past mistakes here…..I’m talkin to this girl right now. Known her 4 maybe a year, but only recently began hanging out. She seems cool & is smart & fun. I make her laugh. Said she likes that about me, & me bein forward. Went out on what I consider to be our 2nd date since I paid 4 the lunch b4. Things went real well. We dined, danced, spoke, she laughed, constantly touched me, touched her hair, bit her lip, etc. But towards the end of the night she began to stray mentally a bit. It was late & it had been a long week 4 her. When I walked her to her door she gave me a quick hug, leaving no time for a kiss, sayin she’d talk to me later. Seemed sincere. Couple days later I called, she hasn’t called back. Confused. Am I over-thinkin this? Also, she’s hinted to luvin flowers several times. Too soon? Oh, she kind of talks down on herself also but is an over-achiever. ??? Don’t wanna F it up.
Much appreciated everyone. It looks like a 50 split for the most part. But can anyone give me some thoughts on this girl? For example, why all the damn signs…hell, F the signs, she straight up told me she liked me….and then no call back? Bottom line is if someone likes you they make the time and call back. So, yes, I am confused. Again, I don’t want to rush things. I know I’m relatively new in her life, as she is in mine. We’re both busy people and have totally different social networks. And I’m not naive enough to think I am the only possible guy on her list. Lord knows she’s not the only lady on mine. But I am diggin’ her due to her unique personality…..Yikes, I better slow down! Yep, I’m feelin her out. But I don’t want to waste my time waiting around either. I mean, really, does it sound as though she’s playing hard to get or did something go wrong without me even realizing? Not insecure, just confused and enjoy other persons’ oppions. Thanks.

I will be putting silk flowers on my daughters wedding cake. Should I somehow treat the flowers so that they do not obsorb the grease from the frosting? I would like them to look fresh and not greasy.
I am using a Meringue powered frosting that has Crisco in it

What kind of icing are you using?!

You should be just fine without treating the flowers.

UPDATE: I think as long as you are careful when you place the flowers, they will be OK. I wouldn’t treat them with anything. You could always make up a sample of the icing and try a few flowers to see if they absorb the oil.

Or contact a bakery and explain the situation and see if they have any suggestions.

thequeenstreasures.com, she does awesome stuff, all her silks come from china, and she goes twice a year. Both my cousins have used her over the past 8 years for both their weddings, and NO ONE knew they were fake!
they range from about 15 to 9 us dollars a bouquet!

But Im having trouble deciding on which flowers. I like Sunflowers, the brighter ones but is that a spring flower? Would that look silly? I’m also thinking about Gerber Daisy’s but Im not too sure. I always say, go for something simple and elegant- a hurricane glass with a large candle in your choice of color, surrounded by tealights or real rose petals (cheap from a florist).
Don’t buy fake flowers. If you can’t pull off the real thing, think of a new idea. No one wants to see fakes at a wedding, its poor taste.

HI
I would like to create a few flower arrangements from silk flowers for use outside on deck and porch to compliment the real flowers. I have been pretty successful when displaying in vases (although I have to regularly dump out rainwater) but I’d like to create arrangements like flower baskets and plant pots. I’m not sure what to use to anchor the flowers in that will not be ruined or rotted by rainwater but also won’t be too heavy to lift. I know that indoor arrangements have some sort of foam or similar material but I wasn’t sure if this would work outside.

Any suggestions???

I use pretty pots and use what ever size styrofoam I need from the art and crafts department. Then I put some mulch on top. Then I create my flower arrangement. The styrofoam last a very long time and does not rot. Never have any problems doing it this way. Hope I helped you some.

I am getting married in September and was wandering what flowers i should go with, my colors are latte and chocolate with a pale pink accent and a touch of gold. I want real flowers, but am on a budget. Any recommendations? I don’t know flowers well so something with a link to view the flower would be great. Thanks!

Go through and pick out what you like and don’t like. I think I’d go with the pale pink for flowers and pick up the gold colors with other things like ribbons, maybe a gold colored berry or other accent in the bouquet.
