I want to make silk bouquets for my wedding. I want them stem area to be thick so I can wrap it with ribbon like a real bouquet, but how do i keep the flowers from sliding up and down? I know they have those foam balls in holders, but are the handles thick enough to make a hand-tied style bouquet?

Use floral tape. Cheap and green. Can get it anywhere. You don’t necessarily have to use the balls or anything. You can also use, very discreetly, hot glue. Works wonders for covering stems.

I am helping my sister plan her wedding. We are trying to decide which is better, fresh flowers versus silk flowers. I know most brides probably opt for fresh flowers, but some of the silk flower bouquets on the internet look so pretty. Any advice or preferences?

You can do both, the silk can be what she carries down the aisle and the fresh can be the small bouquet that she throws away. Then she use the silk as a keepsake or as part of a display in her china cabinet, etc.

craft stores often have a selection of fake flowers, and you might be able to order them from the internet
i think that cut the same length with a ribbon looks nice and you might even be able to put a green foam cylinder in the center with the stems around it with the center flowers securely put in to the foam piece to make the boquet look fuller
look at all the places around with flowers to make sure you get all the nice cheap and different ones, if you can’t find a bunch you like at one store maybe pick select few you like from each store but make sure they look alright together, take them with you and a picture of what you want it to look like

I am attempting to make my own bridal bouquet using silk flowers. I have mainly blue roses and white daisies. I may attempt adding some baby’s breath and white roses. Anyway, i am having issues making it look beautiful. I can’t get it even and rounded enough. Does anybody have tips or know of a helpful website (preferably with pictures or videos) that can assist me in making it? Should i use the foam things and if so how to hide them….yes help please. Go to a craft store and get the foam things and you can wrap ribbon around it to hide the foam.
