Should I Dump My Friend Who Unwisely Dumps Responsibility On Me?
I moved to a new town with no friends & family. And, in a way I kind of liked it that way. I met a woman that works where I live. She was kind to me and adopted me as her kin. I didn’t have pets or plants. Everytime an occassion would roll around she would buy me another plant or pet (fish). I had told after the first plant she gave me that I did not want anyone giving me any gift that required responsibility, as I live under the poverty line, and really don’t have need for such things to make me happy. I have had beautiful artificial plants for years because I didn’t want the mess and the upkeep. She gave me a succlent cactus that requires daily watering and has to be put in a window & has stained my carpet. On my birthday she gave another plant & Beta fish. I have had Koi fish successfully in the past that thrived. With no instructions after 1 day the male Beta fish killed the female and she gave a very tiny inhumane tank. She has dumped neighbors on me I feel terrible!

Tiny flies coming out of pot plant compost!!! how to get rid of them?
I bought some artificial plants which looked very realistic. I put them in pot plants and then put pot plant compost over the bases so that with real mud they would look more ‘real’. Now, a couple of months later tiny flies are coming out of the soil! How can I get rid of them. They are massive pot plants – 10kgs so moving them will not be easy & if I have to get rid of the soil I will need something to replace it with.
Thanks for answers!
